#Manual for creating a refugee phrasebook

1. Select the language you want to translate from (e.g. Arabic)
2. Select the language you want to translate to (e.g. German)
3. Select how the pronunciation should be indicated.

• IPA is the scientific notation for sounds
• SAMPA is an easier notation for sounds
• cyrtrans are the sounds rendered in the Cyrillic alphabet
• arabtrans are the sounds rendered in the Arabic alphabet
• Latin is used for transliterations where they exist

4. you can use the search box on the right to look for particular words or to constrain your phrasebook to certain domains
5. You can sort the columns by clicking on the triangles on top
6. You can print the document directly from your browser
7. The printed page will have three columns: source, target and pronunciation
8. The printed page is optimized for paper

• it does not include the icons
• it does not include the domains

6. In order to exclude certain words from being printed, click on them. They will be grayed out. To undo this operation, click again.
