Thanks for the pointer, could well be the reason, I think I removed the runtimeOnly dependency at some point as it worked without it. But I need to analyse it => yes seems to be the same issue, funny that it only occurs for the composite build but works otherwise (i.e. the sample which causes the problem still works)
