  The primary focus of this release is the completion of migrating Facets into a true extensions library. With this release almost all add-on classes and mixins should be spun-off to other projects. Only the most general purposes add-on classes and mixins should remain. Another important change is that Facets will no longer try to conditionally avoid method overlaps with ActiveSupport. This will work fine for the upcoming ActiveSupport 3.0 library which extends core classes directly instead of using mixins.

  This is a BIG release. The main objective with v3 is to move to Ruby 1.9+ only compatibility. 1.8.7 will no longer be supported directly --rather the `backports` gem will be recommended for those wanting to use Facets with 1.8.x or older.
