This didn't quite work as I expected (as you found out in #11649) but I've opened a triagebot PR to resolve: rust-lang/triagebot#2128 |

I was unable to apply labels to PRs that I had opened, so I looked into how this is handled in other rust-lang repos. I came across triagebot's
relabelfunctionality, which would allow me to label PRs myself.I also then discovered
autolabeland added configuration forA-frontendandA-backend.
