Body Fat Calculator

Calculate body fat percentage using the U.S. Navy Method with simple circumference measurements.

What it does

Estimates body fat percentage using neck, waist, and hip measurements (women) or neck and waist (men). Displays:

  • Body fat percentage with category (Essential, Athletes, Fitness, Average, Obese)
  • Body fat mass and lean body mass
  • Fitness range for your age
  • Amount to gain/lose to reach fitness range

Why

The Navy method provides a practical way to track body composition without expensive equipment. While not as accurate as DEXA scans, it’s reliable enough for tracking progress over time and works well for most people in the 10-50% body fat range.

Single HTML file. No dependencies. Mobile-first. Imperial and metric units.
