Problem Statement

Date Night Dine aims to solve the problem restaurants face in earning more during evenings, especially for romantic dinners. Many restaurants find it hard to bring in couples for date nights, which leaves tables empty and reduces income. Date Night Dine gives them a platform to show their place as a perfect spot for romantic evenings by highlighting food, vibe, and location. With better visibility and easy reservations, it helps restaurants get more couples, more bookings, and make the most of their evening dining.

📄Abstract

Date Night Dine is a database-driven table reservation application designed as part of our mini-project. It simplifies the process of reserving tables at restaurants while providing restaurant staff with efficient management tools. The app stores essential details such as:

Data Stored

The application stores the following essential reservation details:

• 📅 Date of reservation
• 📞 Phone number
• 📧 Email address
• 🪑 Table preference number
• 👥 Number of people
• ⏰ Time of arrival

Database Schema

The database schema includes a reservations table that records these details for every reservation made. When a user makes a vation, the system:

• Checks table availability.
• Records reservation details.
• Allows staff to view, update, and manage reservations seamlessly.
• Maintains a link between customers & their reservations.
• Associates each reservation with a specific table in the restaurant.

Setup Instructions

Follow the steps below to set up and test DateNightDine on your system:

1️⃣ Clone the Repository

git clone https://github.com/rutvikbarbhai/Date-Night-Dine-Table-Reservation-Database.git
cd Date-Night-Dine-Table-Reservation-Database

2️⃣ Install Dependencies

flutter pub get

3️⃣ Run the App (Developer Mode)

flutter run

4️⃣ Install Pre-Built APK

# Download APK (DateNightDine v1.0.0 Beta released August 23, 2025)
wget https://github.com/rutvikbarbhai/Date-Night-Dine-Table-Reservation-Database/releases/latest/download/Name-of-APK-Filename.apk

# Install via ADB

Make sure USB Debugging is enabled on your Android device if you’re installing via adb.
