A lab protocol is a precise description of the experiment being carried out. The following elements are present:
- Why is the experiment being carried out? Reasoning behind running this experiment, what we are trying to measure.
- How was the experiment carried out? Here goes all the parameters, the detail of the structure if necessary. It is important to write down the commit ID being used for the experiment.
- What are the expected results?
- Record of the results. This can be a summary of what was observed, and a reference to the place where they have been stored.
- Observations on the results. Link the results to previous theory or other known results, draw conclusions.
Here should go all the lab protocols.
