KruxApp Version 25.05.beta10 Android v0.4
Second Draft Release of Krux App β Now with a Dedicated Repository under the Selfcustody Project
KEF encryption format received improvements, and Krux now uses GCM as default encryption mode.
β οΈ Important Compatibility Notice
This release includes improvements to the KEF encryption format. However, these improvements required breaking encryption compatibility with previous beta versions for some modes.
Starting from:
Android v0.4 (25.05.beta10)
Dedicated device firmware 25.05.beta10 or later
You will not be able to decrypt ECB and CBC encrypted mnemonics created with:
Android v0.3 (25.05.beta7)
Dedicated device versions 25.05.beta7, beta8, or beta9
ECB mode was the default mode for these versions.
π Migration Instructions:
To retain access to your keys:
Use the previous version to decrypt existing data.
Then, re-encrypt it using this new version.
β οΈ Reminder
These are beta releases, intended for testing only. Do not use them for real funds or sensitive data.
KruxApp Version 25.05.beta7 Android v0.3
First draft release of Krux App with a dedicated repository in Selfcustody project.
New features: KEF encryption format
Warning!
The project structure was heavily modified and few tests were made, expect bugs.
The app code is poorly tested and maintained. APK signatures and authorship are not yet managed. Users may need to delete older versions to be able to update, and it's very likely stored information, like settings and encrypted mnemonics will be lost on updates.
