2. Business Context
OSCM supports bright spectrum of use cases, from SaaS Marketplace to Enterprise IaaS Store. It offers ready-to-use service provisioning adapters (APP and Controllers) for IaaS platforms like AWS and OpenStack, but is open for integrating other systems with developing custom provisioning adapters.
The Service Providers (OSCM Technology Providers, Suppliers, Resellers, Brokers) can define their services with flexible price models and publish them to the OSCM Marketplaces. The Service Provider can choose the billing system for the service usage cost calculation. It can use the OSCM Billing System or integrate the OSCM with External Billing System.
The End-Users (OSCM Customers) can subscribe and use the services.
The OSCM operations (subscribing, assigning users to subscriptions etc.) can be a controlled by an External Approval System.
OSCM offers flexible Authentication for its users. It can use own user store, but also external LDAP Systems. OSCM can be participant in an identity federation using SAML2 profiles for SSO (Single-Sign On). Any Authentication Server which supports SAML2 can be used (e.g OpenAM, ADFS)
