Setting launch options is simpler than messing about with protontricks, and seems to work well for me on my Linux system and Steam Deck. This method is mentioned on the tip versions of BepInEx's docs ( https://docs.bepinex.dev/master/articles/advanced/steam_interop.html#using-the-steam-launch-options ) but the instructions haven't had a chance to make it into a release yet.
