Summary of Changes

Hello @rrama, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

I've updated the project's Go language version to a newer patch release. This is a routine maintenance update to ensure we are using the latest stable version of Go, which can bring various improvements and bug fixes to the build environment and ensure compatibility with modern practices.

Highlights

  • Go Version Update: The project's Go language version has been updated from "1.24" to "1.24.6" within the go.mod file. This change also involved removing the explicit "toolchain go1.24.5" directive, as the "go 1.24.6" declaration now implicitly handles the toolchain selection.

Code Review

This pull request updates the Go version to 1.24.6. The change in go.mod is mostly correct, but I've suggested an improvement to maintain backward compatibility for consumers of this library by separating the go and toolchain directives. This allows users with older Go 1.24 patch versions to continue using the module without issues, as the Go toolchain can automatically manage the required version.

As noted in snyk/go-application-framework#400 it is better to pin frameworks to minor versions. So I will put this back to WIP.

Use 1.24.6 for toolchain, this sets the minimum required version for standalone LS builds.
Also use cimg/go:1.24.
