Obviously, no need to do anything now, but I've been wondering, is there an eventual path to upgrading to clap v4 @samkim-crypto ? Would we need to create solana-clap-v4-utils and then start using that? Or is there some easier path?

Yeah we can upgrade the current solana-clap-v3-utils to use clap-v4 instead of creating a new crate. The main challenge is the need to upgrade all the cli tools at once to clap-v4 after that, but the only cli tool in the mono agave repo is solana-keygen and solana-zk-keygen, so upgrading those at once will not be too bad. The downstream SPL cli tools also live in separate repos, so those can be upgraded one by one.

All in all, it wouldn't be too bad especially since the difference between clap-v2 and clap-v3 is a lot bigger than the difference between clap-v3 and clap-v4.
