I noticed that in the symbol library, these two symbols had the same description of "SMD male pins, right angle". Upon further inspection of the female header symbol, the datasheet and part numbers also corresponded to the incorrect male header pins.
The following commits correctly identifies the symbol as a female header ("pin socket"):
