I maintain pdfcpu, Apache 2.0 PDF tooling for Go and the command line.
pdfcpu provides both a Go API and a CLI for practical PDF work: validation, optimization, merging, splitting, extraction, encryption, watermarks, forms, signatures, attachments, and more. The goal is capable PDF processing in Go with minimal dependencies and predictable behavior across real-world files.
Much of the work is invisible until it is missing: investigating malformed PDFs, improving validation, keeping the API and CLI consistent, reviewing reports, updating documentation, and preserving compatibility as PDFs from different producers expose new edge cases.
Sponsorship is not a sales pitch and not a support contract. It is a way to recognize the maintenance behind infrastructure that developers and companies may rely on without seeing the work behind it.
If pdfcpu saves your team time, removes a dependency, helps your product handle PDFs, or gives you a reliable Go-native option, sponsorship is a practical way to support continued maintenance.
Useful contributions are just as welcome: reproducible issues, sanitized sample PDFs, documentation fixes, focused patches, and thoughtful discussions all help move the project forward.
Thank you for supporting independent open-source work.
