Hi, I'm MD! You might recognise me from the Minecraft community for a few open source projects I've worked on, most notably as the maintainer of EssentialsX.

Since 2015 I've been working on open source software related to running and administrating Minecraft servers, and in 2016 I joined EssentialsX. Initially providing support, fixing bugs and adding new features, I've since also taken on the role of updating EssentialsX to newer Minecraft versions, reviewing community contributions and running infrastructure for the project, including the MOSS support community.

Today, EssentialsX reaches tens of thousands of Minecraft players worldwide on a daily basis, running on over 60,000 server instances. MOSS thrives with around 18,000 members and growing, providing a central support community for many open source projects, as well as bringing exposure to new and upcoming projects.

While I'm glad that I've been able to support the Minecraft open source community for free over the past decade, none of this would have been possible without spending a lot of my personal time and money on these projects.
