The first two commits are good and the fixes are needed. The third one is horrible but I can't seem to figure out why this happens. :( In my application I write to a file to create it and then immediately try to read it. Without the sleep, that fails (I get a NPE in
doGetInputStreambecausefileisnull). If you have any other ideas...
