Hi, I'd like to suggest adding the "Chinese-Elite" project to the Text -> Academia section. I believe it meets the quality standards and presents an innovative use case for the main list.

Chinese-Elite - An open-source project using LLMs to automatically generate a knowledge graph of Chinese elites from public data. #opensource

This project aligns with the repository's Quality Standards:

  • Well-documented: It features a comprehensive README.md in both English and Chinese, detailing the project's architecture, data structure, deployment, and contribution process.
  • Actively maintained: The project is actively maintained by the author. Also, it's kept up-to-date via an automated data pipeline and a CI workflow that uses an AI agent to review and merge certain contributions.
  • Useful to the community: It serves as a valuable open-source tool and case study for researchers, journalists, and social scientists applying generative AI.

It also meets the Inclusion Criteria for the Main List because it's a project of particular interest:

It showcases an innovative, end-to-end application of generative AI.

Instead of just generating prose or images, it performs a complex generative task: creating a structured knowledge graph from unstructured public texts scattered everywhere.

It demonstrates a practical workflow for using LLMs in computational social science and automated data journalism, making it a unique and valuable addition to the generative AI ecosystem.

Thank you for your consideration.
