  • newsreader - alright
  • noto-serif - ick
  • petrona - decent
  • scope one - meh
  • pt-serif - too thick/basic
  • gelasio - too thick/basic

Reviewed in dark mode. In light mode all look good! Cardo is my favorite of these

  • Cardo: Looks really good
  • Crimson Pro: Vertically squashed, readability takes a hit
  • Newsreader: Good, readable, but not as stylish
  • Noto Serif: Eww, but the font size is good, maybe the body font size should be bumped up a pixel or two to make it even more readable
  • Petrona: Unreadable
  • Scope one: feels weird cyber-ish
  • Source Serif 4: No
  • Gelasio: Yes
  • halant: Looks good, cant tell difference from Cardo though
  • amethysta: meh, but like the big font
  • lora: unreadable, too clumped up
  • maitree: too short

I actually like note-serif, but the font size needs to be adjusted for it to look good.

Also https://fonts.adobe.com/fonts/garamond-premier might be an option.

I actually like Petrona, it's the only font on the list that looks decent on Mac and Windows, in both dark mode and light mode. Crimson Pro looks good on Windows, but looks really strange on Mac.
