I'm a seasoned Data Scientist and Machine Learning Engineer with a rich history in Software Engineering. My journey started in 2012, and I've been keen on exploring and innovating in this ever-evolving space since then.
My forte lies in leveraging Python for my projects, although I'm also proficient in R, Java, Rust, React, and JavaScript. I've been fortunate to have my work impacting hundreds of thousands of people, offering me a rewarding experience as a developer. I've also led and optimized teams of data scientists and software engineers, helping projects and organizations reach their full potential.

📰 I've been out of graduate school for some time and have focused all of my energy since then on building products that help real people, but I'm still proud of the research work I've done. A sample of a few that I'm particularly proud of:
- Development and prospective validation of a machine learning-based risk of readmission model in a large military hospital
- HealthSCOPE: An Interactive Distributed Data Mining Framework for Scalable Prediction of Healthcare Costs

- Machine Learning: Traditional supervised/unsupervised ML, Reinforcment Learning (for more than just video games!), and generative models
- Cloud Platforms: AWS and Azure primarily (production use), GCP and Heroku (personal projects)
- IaC: Pulumi, CDK, ARM
- Ops: Making all of the above actually work in production (CI/CD, scaling, monitoring, etc.)
