Hark is a lightweight Android app that turns your phone into a live microphone, streaming audio directly to your hearing aids using Bluetooth. Built originally to solve a personal problem, Hark replaces the need for expensive “table microphone” hardware with a single button on your phone.
- Captures real-time audio from the phone’s microphone
- Streams it via Bluetooth (ASHA-compatible devices preferred)
- Utilizes Google's Oboe Engine to process the audio
- Acts as a portable table mic for hearing aid users
- Simple on/off toggle
- Hearing aid users in classrooms, meetings, or noisy environments
- Anyone who wants a no-frills, instantly available hearing streamer
- Especially useful on Android devices with ASHA (Audio Streaming for Hearing Aids) support

I built Hark because I needed it — and I hope it helps others too.
"Hearing aid tech should be accessible — not locked behind overpriced accessories."
This app was developed in conjunction with Gemini, using my understanding of programming constructs, and ability to natively program Pascal.
