@philkra two things:

• There is an internal logic behind choosing the columns for default sparse indexes, but upon reflection it feels like going too deep. Let me know if you want such details in the docs anyway.
• For add_columnstore_policy, do we want to update the docs to say that bloom OR minmax index is created once columnstore is enabled (we now say bloom only)? And then link to create_table and alter_table for config?

Yes, we should have these items in the docs, but let's address that in a follow up PRs

Since default information is being added. Could you please add this bit of information as well. It was changed in 2.22

Default settings will be calculated for each chunk when it gets created. Default settings will only be for a chunk and not for the main hypertable.

I do not see any information about being able to set empty columnstore options and reseting these options
