What Is pivmugc?

pivmugc (Raspberry Pi VMUG Controller) is a web-based check-in kiosk that was designed for a local chapter of the VMware User Group (VMUG). pivmugc is written in PHP using the Fat-Free Framework and was designed to be used on a Raspberry Pi. Although pivmugc can be used with any type of web server.

What Is pivmugc For?

  • Automated Attendee Badge Printing
  • Self-Service Event Registration (for walkins the day of an event)
  • Self-Service Event Check-in (for folks who pre-registered)
  • Provides a mechanism to randomly draw a name of someone who is attending the meeting (typically used for prize drawings)
