Quick guide
The popup panel offers a few tools.
Use this tool to temporarily remove an element from a web page. As you remove an element with this tool, it will also attempt to restore scrolling ability on web pages where scrolling is disabled.
Given the removal is temporary, forcing a page reload will bring back the elements you removed using this tool.
Use "Create a custom filter" tool to permanently remove an element from view.
This tool can be used to create filters, which purpose is to remove elements from view permanently, i.e. each time you will visit a site in the future.
When you click an element with this tool, it will open a dialog which allows you to fine tune the suggested filter. You should always verify that the filter to be created optimally target the element(s) you want to remove from view. The basic view of the dialog allows you to fine tune using a simple slider. You can expand the dialog to get more control over the fine tuning, up to manually writing your own filters if you are familiar with cosmetic filter syntax.
Filters created with this tool can be seen in the "Custom filters" pane in the dashboard, where you can edit/delete filters you created.
