Heat maps

Heat maps let users understand how the activity was spread over time. This is a great indicator of the overall community activity.

The map is displayed as a grid, where each cell represents a single day. The color (heat) of that cell indicates how many trees were updated during that day.

When calculating the heat, we count the number of trees that were added or updated during that day. We then use the logarithmic scale to normalize the data. You can look in the source code for more details.
