Inconsistent middleware matching in getMiddleware() ignores skipNextInternalsFromMiddleware config
What fails: NextNodeServer.getMiddleware() uses hardcoded regex '.*' instead of respecting skipNextInternalsFromMiddleware configuration, causing middleware to run on /_next routes even when configured to skip them.
How to reproduce:
- Set
skipNextInternalsFromMiddleware: true(default) in next.config.js - Create middleware without explicit matchers - triggers fallback path in getMiddleware()
- Middleware runs on
/_next/*routes despite configuration
Result: Middleware executes on Next.js internal routes when it should be skipped
Expected: Should use conditional regex like other parts of codebase:
skipNextInternalsFromMiddleware === false:'^/.*$'(matches all)skipNextInternalsFromMiddleware !== false:'^(?!/_next).*$'(excludes /_next)
Evidence: Configuration exists in NextConfig interface with default true, used correctly in build/entries.ts:904 and build/index.ts:2604, but hardcoded '.*' in server/next-server.ts:1454.

Why?
When the user hasn't set a matcher in the middleware, it always hits the internal route
/_next/. This is redundant, though quite common, as it serves all the static assets. Therefore, skip the internal route by default when no matcher is set.
