the tests follow the examples in the milner bigraph paper, and I plan to work my way further through the book and implement more examples
the "tree" functions / helpers (harvest_tree, as_tree, HarvestTestHelper) allow using nested dict literals for construction and equality comparison, which hopefully makes the tests more intelligible and improves code readability.
