Summary of Changes

Hello @colldata79, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request refactors the test suite to remove all dependencies and references to the CompressedLinear module, which has been deprecated and removed from the underlying compressed-tensors library. The changes involve deleting specific imports, an entire test class, and updating comments across multiple test files to reflect the current architecture and ensure the tests remain relevant and accurate.

Highlights

  • Test File Cleanup: The CompressedLinear import has been removed from tests/llmcompressor/transformers/compression/test_run_compressed.py.
  • Test Class Deletion: The Test_Compressed_CompressedLinear_Decompressed_Linear class, which was dedicated to testing CompressedLinear modules, has been entirely removed from tests/llmcompressor/transformers/compression/test_run_compressed.py.
  • Comment Updates: Comments in test_autoround_oneshot.py and test_gptq_oneshot.py have been updated to remove outdated references to CompressedLinear and its specific decompression behavior.
  • Alignment with Library Changes: These changes align the test suite with the prior removal of CompressedLinear from the compressed-tensors library, ensuring consistency and removing obsolete test logic.

Code Review

This pull request effectively removes test code and comments related to CompressedLinear, aligning the test suite with its removal from the compressed-tensors library. The changes are clean, necessary, and correctly implemented. The removal of the unused import and the obsolete test class Test_Compressed_CompressedLinear_Decompressed_Linear improves code maintainability. The updates to comments in other test files ensure documentation is accurate. Overall, this is a good cleanup PR.
