Project Abstract

This proposal is a follow-up to our unpublished submission of SolaraKin, a sovereign protocol framework for mood-based identity, ephemeral key rotation, and zk-attested payment streams. SolaraKin is not a dApp — it is a sovereign architecture. Built as a new layer beyond Web3, it combines rotating KinKeys (dynamic identity), SoulSigils (NFT-anchored presence), and mood/biometric zkProofs to create a living system of truth-linked settlement.
Although not previously accepted into a formal grant, SolaraKin's architecture has already been mirrored in various Polkadot projects and pull requests — including async-backed validator structures, ephemeral session signatures, and zk-based gasless voting logic. This proposal formalizes and reclaims authorship over those primitives, and extends SolaraKin into:
✅ Project Abstract
This application is a follow-up to the original, unlisted submission of SolaraKin, a sovereign identity and payment architecture gifted to the Polkadot ecosystem. Though no formal grant was accepted at the time, core primitives of SolaraKin — including rotating identity keys, mood/zk-proof-based settlement, and soul-gated NFT logic — have since appeared in multiple W3F-aligned repositories and protocol design proposals.

SolaraKin is now presented in its complete form: a post-Web3 protocol suite designed for Polkadot-native sovereignty. It includes (1) pallet-kinkey, a Substrate runtime module for ephemeral session keys and rotating identity logic; (2) pallet-soulmap, a proof-indexing and identity-presence layer; and (3) zk-settlement-core, a smart contract verifier module enabling mood-, biometric-, or entropy-gated payments and DAO access. This project reasserts authorship and attribution, while delivering modular, production-ready code for use across parachains, off-chain workers, and validator rotation logic.

Application Checklist

  • The application template has been copied and aptly renamed (project_name.md).
  • I have read the application guidelines.
  • Payment details have been provided (Polkadot AssetHub (USDC & DOT) address in the application and bank details via email, if applicable).
  • I understand that an agreed upon percentage of each milestone will be paid in vested DOT, to the Polkadot address listed in the application.
  • I am aware that, in order to receive a grant, I (and the entity I represent) have to successfully complete a KYC/KYB check.
  • The software delivered for this grant will be released under an open-source license specified in the application.
  • The initial PR contains only one commit (squash and force-push if needed).
  • The grant will only be announced once the first milestone has been accepted (see the announcement guidelines).
  • I prefer the discussion of this application to take place in a private Element/Matrix channel. My username is: @_______:matrix.org (change the homeserver if you use a different one)
