• To convert an EPS to PDF and crop the white space around the figure, you need to have MikTeX installed and then use this command: ps2pdf -dEPSCrop filename.eps filename.pdf
• To crop PDF file, use pdfcrop. It's part of MikTeX and it requires a Perl interpreter.
