A comprehensive D&D 5e reference vault for Obsidian, containing spells, classes, lineages, magic items, and more.
Content covering the 5e rules was merged from two public sources:
- Content is mostly separated by source into two subdirectories
- File names are unique, making wiki links easy
- Extensive tagging is applied to spells, magic items, feats, lineages, and classes. This allows overview tables to be created dynamically using Obsidian bases. If you add additional content, check existing bases queries to understand the tagging structure so that your content is included in all the dynamic tables.
- The SRD monster pages are actually just references to fantasy statblock data. I still created pages for them because I wanted to attach tags and i like browsing the stat blocks. You can either link to the page or just use the stat block in your notes.

# Open this folder as a vault in ObsidianThis makes it easy to contribute back updates, additions, and corrections.
Use either method 1 or 2 above to obtain the contents and copy them into a subdirectory in your own vault. This makes adding wiki links from your campaigns or notes into the content easier.
Important: Delete the .obsidian folder from the copied subdirectory as it will be
ignored by Obsidian (only the root .obsidian folder is used).
Note: This may cause some issues if there are files with the same names in your existing vault.
This vault includes a simple custom theme called "Player's Handbook". If you use it as a separate vault, the theme should be automatically activated. If not, select it in Settings → Appearance. It's designed as a light theme.
If you merge this content into your own vault, the theme will be ignored unless you copy it
from the .obsidian folder in this repository to your own top-level .obsidian folder.
