i have a added a checkbox to the link editor so the user can select if the link will open in the same tab or a new tab.

Hi @sheronjay, it seems some information mentioned in the issue description has been missed. Administrators should be able to configure whether links in a certain IAM flow open in a new tab or the same tab. End users in the self-registration flow should then experience the links behaving according to that configuration.

To achieve this, we need to persist the isOpenInNewTab configuration for each link in the backend and update the registration portal to respect that configuration. Simply adding the option in the frontend won’t fully address the original requirement.

@pavinduLakshan my bad. I will look into this further and try to come up with a fix. sorry for the rookie mistake 😅
