chromocular

Chromocular is an AI-powered accessibility ecosystem designed to help colorblind people see the world in its true colors. It uses real-time digital processing, specifically Edge AI and GenAI, to identify what a user is looking at and shift colors into a spectrum they can actually perceive.

Cross-Platform Accessibility Chromocular is designed to exist everywhere the user looks: • Webcam Feed: A "digital mirror" that allows users to see themselves or their surroundings corrected on their computer screen. • Web Extension: Corrects the colors of images, videos, and text on any website in real-time. • Smart Glasses: A hands-free experience where the world is recolored as you walk.

Type What the User Struggles With Chromocular’s Action
Protan (Red-Weak) Red looks like dark brown/gray. Shifts Red information toward the Blue/Yellow spectrum.
Deutan (Green-Weak) Green and Red look identical. Increases contrast between Green and Red wavelengths.
Tritan (Blue-Weak) Blue looks green; Yellow looks pink. Re-maps Blue and Yellow to high-contrast Red/Cyan shades.
