How to configure Transmission Remote

Server configuration

First you need to enable remote access on Transmission server:

1. Open Preferences and go to "Remote" tab
2. Check "Enable remote access" checkbox
3. (Optional) Check "Require authentication" checkbox and choose username and password

Client configuration

To configure the app you have to fill in following fields:

1. Server name - you can enter any text you wish.
2. IP or hostname of the machine on which Transmission is running.
3. Port. Usually, it is 9091 (if you didn't change it in Transmission preferences).
4. If you checked 'Require authentication' in Transmission preferences then check Authentication checkbox and enter username & password in the mobile app.
