Currently I'm starting a cafe cart in Capitol Hill, Seattle, WA, with the hope of selling cheap drinks to make ends meet while I meet the friendly people of Cap Hill. I'd love to grow Yaupon in the Puget Sound across the water from Seattle, but my student debt must come first!
I'm working on a broad project, Atheneum Common.
I believe everyone should have their basic needs met and, in exchange, be pushed to improve the world however they see fit so long as it does not harm others. I believe the starting point for this future is a communalist approach, building communities that agree to mutually benefit their members while pushing to exchange fairly with other communities whatever they can spare. Through a free exchange of food, materials, land, art, and knowledge, we can organize a greater federation protecting all peoples, while ensuring no community is disenfranchised by the actions of the greater whole.
The smallest unit of this system is a common where people live and learn to love each other, a community center founded both physically and virtually. This makerspace, kitchen, cafe, library, and meeting place is an Atheneum, based on the past open Athenæums of Spain. An understanding that we all share one common on this Earth, but the work to save it can start close to home, is the Common I hope to save. I'll work towards this Atheneum Common whichever way I can, for as long as I can. I'd hope to start one myself one day.
I'll have better contact information on my website, zaiquiriw.net, but if you would like to reach me about my code, go ahead and use a GitHub issue or discussion forum!
