thanks for working on this! As these are breaking changes to the blosc codec, I don't think we can merge this until we decide on when the next breaking release should be. See #2889 for context. |

Changed the way Blosc and Bytes codecs are initialized by making all the fields are mandatory
Removed checks for is None as they would never be none.
