PR Description

  • Severity: ENHANCEMENT
  • Vulnerability: Unvalidated parameter handling in ClientManifestVerifier.ingestRevocationTicket could lead to type confusion, crashes, and potential validation bypasses if malformed tickets were processed.
  • Impact: System instability or denial-of-service through processing unexpected ticket formats.
  • Fix: Implemented strict type and structural validation on the ticket object, ensuring correct field types and a safe integer constraint on revocation_epoch to block NaN-bypass attacks.
  • Verification: Added dedicated unit tests to tests/unit/cyphertube-core.test.ts checking all validation failure branches (null, array, invalid fields, NaN/unsafe epochs) and ran the full suite successfully.
