IX-Sustainment-OS is a tool designed to help maintenance teams manage their work more clearly. It shows what can be fixed now, what is blocked, and why. It keeps technical information controlled and offers AI recommendations that need approval before use. The system logs all actions for review. It supports teams in deciding how to handle parts bottlenecks and technical data during maintenance.
This program runs as a simple app on Windows, offering a clear interface without unnecessary features. It aims to keep workflows organized and transparent.
To run IX-Sustainment-OS on Windows, your computer should meet these minimum requirements:
- Windows 10 or newer (64-bit recommended)
- 4 GB of RAM or more
- At least 200 MB of free disk space
- Internet connection for initial download and updates
- Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 or higher (usually pre-installed)
If you have an older Windows version, the software might still work but could perform slower.

Look for the most recent release. It will have a version number like
v1.0or higher. -
Under the latest release, find the file suited for Windows. It usually ends with
.exeor.msi. For example:

Click the downloaded file, then choose "Run" or open it from your downloads folder.

Follow the on-screen prompts to install the application. Choose default options if unsure.

After installation, launch IX-Sustainment-OS from your Start Menu or desktop shortcut.
Once the app opens, you will see three main sections:
- Fixable Items: Tasks and parts ready for repair or replacement now.
- Blocked Items: Issues that await approval or missing parts.
- Audit Log: A history of all actions and decisions made in the system. Useful for tracking changes.
You can click any item to see detailed information. The app highlights the reasons behind delays or approval holds.
The AI suggestions appear next to some items but require manual confirmation to proceed.
IX-Sustainment-OS limits who can see certain technical data. Access depends on your user role. Common roles include:
- Technician: Views most repair information.
- Supervisor: Can approve AI recommendations and access full data.
- Admin: Manages users and audit settings.
Your login will define what you can access.
You can adjust how the app displays information:
- Set preferences for notifications about blocked items.
- Choose display themes for better visibility.
- Configure data sync intervals if connected to a central server.
To access settings, click the gear icon in the top right corner.
The system stores data locally by default. It saves your actions and notes in a secure folder on your computer.
You can export data reports as CSV or PDF for sharing or backup.
Regular backups are advised, especially before updates. Use the export feature or copy the entire data folder manually.
- If the program does not start, check if your Windows antivirus has blocked it.
- Ensure your system meets the requirements listed above.
- Restart your computer if the installation fails the first time.
- If you see errors about missing .NET Framework components, install or update it from Microsoft's website.
