About

ScribeAR is a real-time captioning platform designed to improve classroom accessibility. Whether you are using smart glasses or a classroom monitor, ScribeAR provides a live audio transcript that enhances communication for deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals, non-native speakers, and you! Multiple speech recognition providers are supported, including WebSpeech, Azure, OpenAI's Whisper, and our custom, edge-deployable provider, ScribeAR Server. When using ScribeAR Server, students can scan a QR code to receive live transcriptions on their own device as well.
