Glossary

This guide goes through the definition of a few terms that pertain to DK64 Randomizer, whether it helps you understand how to parse a seed, or various pieces of terminology used in restreams

• Altatweet: Various tweets composed by DK64 Randomizer player Altabiscuit describing various comical scenarios a player might come across.
• Altatweet 1: Unhinted Medal is Way of the Hoard. Link
• Altatweet 2: Super Duper Simian Slam is Way of the Hoard. Link
• Altatweet 3: Thinking you are in go mode, but missing Key 7, which is required for Helm Entry. Link
• Altatweet 4: A gun being Way of the Hoard, solely for completing a minigame where the gun requirement can be bypassed by usage of Tag Anywhere. Link
• Altatweet 5: Forgetting to tag the far blue bananaport in Frantic Factory. Link
• Casino: An item that is required to beat the seed that is not hinted in any capacity through the various hint methods
• Know Mode: The restream, through knowledge gained by watching the two players featured on the restream, knows the location of every unique item required to beat the seed.
• Go Mode: A player has all unique items required to beat a seed, and only needs to go through Helm, K. Rool and perhaps collect some golden bananas to beat the seed.
• Jet seed: A very quick seed, often having very few moves on the Way of the Hoard.
• NSAK: Abbreviation of "No Style, All Keys", which is a preset which contains a lot of location randomizers, and is based around obtaining all 8 keys to beat the seed.
• Out of Logic: Performing a check to obtain it's item without obtaining the moves that are required to obtain it according to the logic system for the randomizer. For example, the Kasplat in Japes underground requires Pineapple and Vines to cross the gap, however, those two moves can be bypassed by using Ponytail Twirl to cross the gap instead.
• TA: Abbreviation of Tag Anywhere.
• Tag Anywhere: The ability to change the kong by pressing D-Pad left or right.
• Way of the Hoard: Required to beat the seed
