SWARM: Ctrl-X Does Not Support Multi-Connection Setup

This page states that telemetry devices can be selected using Ctrl-X.
However, Ctrl-X is actually used for selecting plugins, not telemetry devices.

According to discussion on the ArduPilot Discourse, to select telemetry devices for multiple vehicle connections, you should right-click the Connection button, choose Connection Options from the menu, and then select the desired telemetry device from the popup window.

Currently, users trying to set up SWARM (multi-vehicle) connections are getting confused by this documentation.
