Features

  • New Jokers
    • Conjoined Joker: While in a PvP Blind gain X1 Mult for every Hand your Nemesis has left (Max X5 Mult)
    • Magnet: After 2 rounds, sell this card to Copy your Nemesis' highest sell cost Joker (Currently does not copy joker states)
    • Penny Pincher: At the start of the shop, gain $1 for every $3 your Nemesis spent last shop
    • Pizza: +6 Discards for all players, -1 Discard when any player selects a Blind, Eaten when your Nemesis skips a blind
    • Taxes: When your Nemesis sells a Joker gain +5 Mult
    • Pacifist: X10 Mult while not in a PvP Blind
  • Reworked Jokers:
    • SPEEDRUN: If you reach a PvP Blind before your Nemesis, create a random Spectral card
    • Lets Go Gambling: 1 in 4 chance for X4 Mult and $10, 1 in 8 chance to give your Nemesis $5
    • Defensive Joker: +125 Chips for every life less than your Nemesis
  • Hanging Bad has been removed
  • Showdown has been removed along with the gamemode selection screen, in it's place you will now see the Ruleset selection screen. This will allow you to change how you want to play Multiplayer, here are the options:
    • Standard: Includes changes to the base game that are designed to make the Multiplayer meta more interesting, right now those changes are:
      • Hanging Chad now retriggers the first two played cards once
      • Justice is banned (the tarot card)
      • Glass cards give X1.5
    • Vanilla: Normal Balatro with no Multiplayer Jokers by default.
    • Badlatro: A special weekly ruleset that the community liked, so we are bringing it back permanently. Includes 43 banned cards and 5 banned tags.
  • Lobby Info: There is a new button below the Run Info and Options buttons in-game that will display both player's lives, mods list, and highest scoring hand, this will also display players max hands and max discards in the future.
  • Ante Timer: After readying up for a PvP blind players can activate an ante timer. This timer is 120 seconds long + 120 seconds for every time the activating player skipped before activating it. If the timer reaches 0 for the other player before they ready up for the PvP Blind they will lose a life. In the future this will also force the other player into the PvP Blind as well. Currently this time is not adjustable but it will be a lobby option soon.
  • Next Card Display: The next card in your deck will now show above your deck. This does not introduce any new information as you could always use the "Misprint Tech" to learn the next card in your deck. This is disable-able in Multiplayer's config.

Bug Fixes

  • Skip Off no longer takes hand size away from you when you sell it
  • Phantom cards no longer increase your the amount of joker slots you have
  • Players hands are now updated at the start of the PvP Blind (in case they have a Burglar or Skip Off)
