Introduction

This is a quick guide for the modding of the Nintendo Switch.

This guide expects to be an entrypoint both for newbies in the world of Switch hacking and people who already has its Switch modded but want to take more advantage of it more and get more unofficial features. It can also be used to write down a complex procedure so you do not need to remember it exactly or look it up (again) on the Internet.

In this guide we will assume that you have a Nintendo Switch V1 unpatched. Presumably, you can use all the procedures described in this guide anyway if these are not your circumstances, but the certainly the procedure to hack the Switch is going to be radically different since patched Switch owners need to obtain a modding chip and also install it on its Switch hardware, which is a much more difficult procedure than in an unpatched Switch.
