Camera Photo

David Vogel edited this page Sep 22, 2021 · 3 revisions

A photo is an image that is contained in a camera object. While photos of a camera share most parameters, there are two photo specific parameters: Position, rotation.

Every component of these two parameters can be locked to prevent any optimization by the software.

Every photo can contain a list of mapped points (green flag) that define how a point from world space should be projected into image space. Gray flags are suggested mapped points.

Mapped points serve two purposes. They help with geometry reconstruction, and they document where measurement points are placed in the world.

Usage

  • To create a new mapped point (mapping), double click on a free area.
  • To confirm a suggested mapping, double click on it.
  • To select a mapping, left click on it.
  • To move a mapping you have to select it first with a single click, and then drag it around.
  • To define which point a mapping references to, select a mapping and choose the desired point from the dropdown that appears.
  • To delete a mapping, select one with a single click and use Unmap point.
