Running installer.sh failed on a new Linux Mint install because the ~/.local/bin and ~/.local/share/applications directories did not exist yet.
I added conditionals to installer.sh that will create the above directories if needed during install. I also included conditionals for /usr/local/bin and /usr/share/applications (may be needed for system install rather than user-level).
