Database Backup and Restore

Backing up your database

To backup your contacts to storage:

1. Go to the All contacts or Groups screen
2. Select Menu: Backup/restore
3. Select Backup to storage

To backup your contacts to email:

1. Go to the All contacts or Groups screen
2. Select Menu: Backup/restore
3. Select Backup to email

SecureSuite will put an encrypted backup in your email for you to email to yourself. Don’t forget to save the passphrase used for that specific backup.

Restoring your database

1. Save both database files to your devices SDCARD
2. Select menu Backup/restore
3. Select Restore from storage
4. Navigate to the location you saved files in the first step
5. Enter your database passphrase

Backup to LAN

Backing up to LAN first requires that a companion device is setup. With setup complete, backup to LAN will make a complete copy of your primary device to a companion device.

1. Select Menu, Backup/restore, Backup to LAN
2. Confirm you want to perform the backup. Note that this will completely wipe the companion device and replace it with a mirror of the primary device.

Worth repeating, Backup to LAN will wipe the companion device and replace it with a mirror copy of the primary device.
