Recent victories/accomplishments/obstacles with data gen/snowfakery (go around)

• We have 2 open pull requests
• Jess closed issues and merged PRs. Github repo is looking great! Thanks, Jess :)
• Jess used Snowfakery IRL to troubleshoot a Gift Entry case
• Cassie used OwnBackup enhanced seeding, found a bug!! Able to get exact snapshot of data she needed in Sandbox
• Emily is in UAT on an org that is using bad test data :'( - motivated to skill up with Snowfakery
• Michael B is working on resubmitting his PR by COB today
• Jung worked on the Recurring Donation recipe; also found a [possible] bug in Faker
• Welcome, Jay! Interested in building data for prediction modeling
• Welcome, Nitin! Here to learn :)
• Junette led TWO (!!!!!!) training sessions for Snowfakery (webinar, also Vancouver NP User Group) and overcame a difficult org authentication issue

Recent and upcoming changes to Snowfakery package (Paul)

• Paul has built many features, not yet released
• Work in progress: counters and unique identifiers (ex: SFDC aliases, drivers license numbers)
• Work in progress: how to make email addresses that match the contact record (h/t Michael B)
• CumulusCI keeps getting better
• Internal advocacy - mobilizing architects, sales engineers, etc to use Snowfakery

Moving recipes to a new Repo (project plan and delegate) (Sam)

• Cori OB needs to create a new Repo (Samantha)
• Copy entire Repo, then delete files we don't need (this will enable us to keep our edit history)
• Revise both Readme files
• Change management - post to Hub after the change happens, remind people to clone the new repo
• Timing: Everyone who has an open PR finish by 8/16 New Repo by 8/16 Paul copies repo week of 8/16 Jung revise Read Me for Recipes Repo Sam revise Read Me for Data Gen Repo Jung message change in Slack and Power of Us Hub Jess/Aaron (voluntold) - monitor PRs

Discussion on topic above:

• Q: Do we want to retain the commit history for the existing recipes? A: Yes, if possible
• There is a feature in Github called "Blame" which lets you see edit history of that line of code
• Volunteers: Jess, Jung, Paul - PTO 2nd wk of Aug

User groups and community engagement (Cassie)

• Meeting in a Box are ready for game time
• Includes Sandbox horror stories from Org Confessions
• Effectively links out to many resources

Idea: Organizing/viewing a webinar about the NPSP Data Importer (it's more powerful than I thought it was!) (Sam)

• Lots of people are using it
• More people are using Gift Entry (we have telemetry on this) - GE sits on top of NPSP Data Import Tool
• Advanced Mapping is a bit tricky
• The documentation on Advanced Mapping is hard to follow
• Sam: reach out to Anne to discuss a webinar

Nonprofit v For Profit use cases

• Do we have interest in hosting two meetings per month?
• Nitin has worked in both contexts, currently focused on nonprofit and gov verticals
• Jay, currently focused on how we share program data

• Paul/Jung to discuss bug in Faker. Note the letter "M/m" may mean Month OR Minute depending on capitalization
