Installing Docker on Windows

Determine which version of Windows 10 you are running via https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/13443/windows-which-version-am-i-running. There are different Docker Desktop applications for "Home" and other versions of Windows 10.

Download Docker from the following link https://docs.docker.com/docker-for-windows/install/ by selecting “Download from Docker Hub” and then selecting “Get Stable”

The pop-up will install in the corner or under “Downloads”. Once this file finishes downloading, open the file by double clicking it or right clicking and selecting “Open”.

If Windows asks for permissions to allow Docker to make changes to your device, hit yes.

When the installation completes, it may say “Installation succeeded”. Feel free to hit the Close button below this.
