[EN] Upgrading from 0.10 to 0.11

Please remember to create a new instance of TFG and copy your world across into it, instead of upgrading it in-place! This is both safer, and also lets you preview your upgraded world, so you can go back and prepare it better.

If you're upgrading from 0.9, please follow the 0.10 upgrade instructions first.

Worlds from 0.10 are safe to update to 0.11, but there are a few minor breaking changes:

  1. A significant amount of EV progression has been reworked:
  • Almost every recipe related to uranium/plutonium/radon has been changed, and now requires Fission on Mars.
  • Nano CPU Wafers now require a product at the end of the Fission progression.
  • Tungsten now has a new (and more complicated) refinement process.
  1. Windmills and Water wheels are now Greate tiered, and water wheels now require a river to work at their full effectiveness. If you were using them "properly", as in, in a river for your steam age progression, you should be mostly unaffected by this change. If you were spamming tons of them off of placed water sources in your basement, move to a different power source! To help balance this, windmill sails are now even cheaper, and blaze burners are available in the steel age.
  2. The Programmed Circuit Card mod has been removed. This will affect any AE2 setups you have using it, and instead you should use different machines for each circuit (or upgrade to the IV multiblock). We do want to minimize the pain with this though, so if you need a whole assembler for one obscure circuit number for one recipe, please send us a bug report and we'll switch the numbers around.
  3. The Netherarium and Enderarium have been removed. You will be able to get all their important outputs from Mars. If you have any nether/ender air stored, distill it because those recipes will be going away soon too.
  4. If you still have any old "replace me" items from your 0.7 to 0.9 upgrade, they will be deleted, so be sure to convert them all!
