Please remember to create a new instance of TFG and copy your world across into it, instead of upgrading it in-place! This is both safer, and also lets you preview your upgraded world, so you can go back and prepare it better.
If you're upgrading from 0.7, please follow the 0.9 upgrade instructions first.
Worlds from 0.9 are safe to update to 0.10, but there are a few minor breaking changes:
- Refrigerators have been replaced with a new gregtech version that has different tiers, understands EU/t, and supports automation. You'll be able to convert your old refrigerator into the new one, but it will lose its contents. Take everything out of your fridge before updating!
- Almost all automated food-related recipes have been moved to the new Food Processor and Food Oven machines.
- Several ores have been moved around, most notably certus quartz and the aluminium/bauxite/ilmenite vein are now only on the moon. Check your field guide for more information.
- Centrifuging quartz sand now gives nether quartz instead of certus quartz. If you want infinite certus quartz, check out the moon.
- Chorus fruit can now only be grown on the moon in an electric greenhouse instead of irradiating regular fruit.
- Lava from a hose pulley is no longer infinite. You can still use it as a fuel, but there's several other early game options to try out as well: creosote (from wood or coal), oilsands, or seed oil (and bio diesel) from new Sunflower and Rapeseed plants!
- Almost every AE2-related recipe has been changed, so you will need to update all of your patterns.
- Steam 'n' Rails is currently on an alpha version for Create 6 support, so some of your trains/bogeys may be invisible or glitchy.
- GregTech has had a major version release with several breaking changes, so check out its changelog as well.
Check out the TFG changelog for a full list of all the other changes.
