Project Update 07_26_2017
We are beginning to use this Wiki to update interested vendors and anyone else tracking our ongoing progress. The Alaska team has been doing a lot of work to lay out the foundation for the first buys. The prototyping efforts underway are meant to expose things that vendors will encounter, and mitigate some of the risks associated with the legacy system. We're making progress, but it has taken us a bit longer than expected.
Here are some areas that should be of interest:
Alaska's Department of Health and Human services has set up its own GitHub organization. Note that in an upcoming sprint we plan to migrate this repo from 18F's GitHub organization to this one Alaska DHSS organization.
DevOpsMVP contains our breadth-first survey of IaaS, PaaS, and various tools and languages in the DevOps realm. This repo contains a lot of documentation around what our goals are for DevOps and what we've learned so far.
win-10-local-env uses Packer and Vagrant to automate a Windows 10 VM for development. This should interest vendor firms that may not natively run Windows.
ProtoWebAPI is a .NET Core application that interfaces with an internal Alaska API. However, it will only work if you are connected to Alaska's network via VPN.
We are also working on the draft Statement of Work and the Quality Assurance Plan. The SOW is currently included as a PR in this repo, and the QAP will be added soon. There are still some gaps that we hope to have answered as part of our prototyping efforts, but we think we've got a good start.
As always, we welcome feedback and questions about any of the work we're doing via GitHub Issues and will do our best to respond quickly.
